is it just this case that’s got you down, or something else? Take a sip, then a deep breath, and unburden yourself. Isn’t that what a bar is for AFTER you drink?

  2. Thank you Queen Eggo!!
We are going bat shit crazy here waiting but phenix has some great drinks specials for us today!!!

Hi everyone. Sorry I couldn’t check in again. The comments section disappeared from the site, and I couldn’t reply to others. My brother in law said I was stuck on some mini version of the site…I am so technologically challenged, but he fixed it for me. Well, that was disappointing! Nothing really happened, so we walked over to Compass Arizona Grill for food and libations…ok, we really just went for drinks, and to get out of the heat, but the point is we weren’t there when the sealed questions were asked. Even if we were, we couldn’t have told anything, because even though they all have an opinion, they really don’t know anything. It was still cool to see all the cameras and celebs. I think I may hang around til Tuesday and go back. Now that I know my way around, I may go back and try again. Unless they deliberate tomorrow which no one seemed to think they will. I can hope though! Next time I am wearing shorts and flip flops! Lol

I can see the comments – not the post.

        • Hi mom, it’s just the Cake or Death thing, no post. It’s Queen Eggo’s union day off today. 🙂

Ahh – I get so egg-cited when I see there’s a new post and waiting for a decision today from the jury has me a little edgy!

            • Yes, we are all going bonkers waiting for something………..

                Hi, Bea! (waving wildly)

                • Bea if you’re not wearing shorts and flip flops in the Arizona heat, WHAT are you wearing? A bikini and bowling shoes?! Thanx for the update.

                  • Bikini and bowling shoes …Bwahahaha! Believe me there is NOBODY who wants to see me in that! Lol. It wasn’t so bad once the breeze picked up. You know that feeling when you’re in the oven and someone turns on a fan? Yeah, kind of like that. Lol. Just glad they aren’t going into July. JVM will just be a puddle of make up and hair gel! 😜

                • Hi Sully! Went out and fell asleep by the pool after a dip to cool the core! Steam came off of me when I jumped in! Did I miss anything?

                  • Posted by Sully on May 23, 2013 at 7:42 pm

Sorry, Bea. I had to step away from the computer. You know by now what happened. 😦 Oh well, it looks like steps are in place for the prosecution to fight another day.

Thanks Egg, it was taking me an eternity to scroll down! BTW- have we passed AreWeThereYet, AZ already, because I’ve been there, and things are looking awfully familiar….

  6. Thx for the “Glass Lady” link Carol Egg Beater sub….Barkeep! I’ve watched that Ryan Owen interview a few times – he was so good! Really got under Stabby’s mask and gave her some tough questions – to make the mask slip – Wish the jurors knew what we know and have seen – Seems dumb to keep them in the dark –

    • Peony, just you just love those analysis people? They can catch every little twitch and wimper.

      • Posted by Marnie Paige on May 23, 2013 at 3:49 pm

I especially liked it when he gave her the “yeah, right” (my words – his was more of a non-verbal with maybe an “OK”) response after she said she told the truth about what happened in the bathroom.

    • One good thing that may come out of this jury’s indecision is that the next set of jurors may be able to see all those offensive, self-serving interviews. Well, I’m off to martini-land. My undying love and respect to all the brilliant eggies on this site.

  7. Posted by jenniferlyn on May 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm

There’s no WAY the jurors haven’t heard about Stabby’s press junket, even if just “coming up next” on their local news, or if they go to a news site, or read a paper, they’ll see there are articles about it (& what a diva/b*tch she was……I SOOO hope they’re cheating!!

    • I know jen, they just HAVE to know, some how, some way. They don’t live in a cave for crying out loud.

      • Posted by Maureen on May 23, 2013 at 3:09 pm

I think SOME of them know way more than they let on. But do they let the others know what they know? Would they be afraid of a tattletale? The next jury , should it get to that point, will definitely know much more and I think would give her the DP.

        • Yes, Maureen, yes. I think the next jury should be from and held in Alaska. Who cares how long it takes there. They’ll love it and stay warm inside the court house if they have one there.

          • Ahhh….maybe the next jury should be from Texas – this trial would have been over months ago methinks! 🙂

  8. Posted by Maureen on May 23, 2013 at 3:05 pm

i can only see the first paragraph of the post. What do I do? So sick of waiting. I need to get on with life! So give me death!

The Demonessssss holding court in court again today irritates me. Found this article about 10 signs of spotting a sociopath.

#1) Sociopaths are charming. Sociopaths have high charisma and tend to attract a following just because people want to be around them. They have a “glow” about them that attracts people who typically seek guidance or direction. They often appear to be sexy or have a strong sexual attraction. Not all sexy people are sociopaths, obviously, but watch out for over-the-top sexual appetites and weird fetishes. Now she is more skanky/slutty than sexy.

#2) Sociopaths are more spontaneous and intense than other people. They tend to do bizarre, sometimes erratic things that most regular people wouldn’t do. They are unbound by normal social contracts. Their behavior often seems irrational or extremely risky.

#3) Sociopaths are incapable of feeling shame, guilt or remorse. Their brains simply lack the circuitry to process such emotions. This allows them to betray people, threaten people or harm people without giving it a second thought. They pursue any action that serves their own self interest even if it seriously harms others.

#4) Sociopaths invent outrageous lies about their experiences. They wildly exaggerate things to the point of absurdity, but when they describe it to you in a storytelling format, for some reason it sounds believable at the time. Ninja’s, pedophilia, Domestic Abuse, a professional artist…yup, yup, and yup.

#5) Sociopaths seek to dominate others and “win” at all costs. They hate to lose any argument or fight and will viciously defend their web of lies, even to the point of logical absurdity. Ayup!

#6) Sociopaths tend to be highly intelligent, but they use their brainpower to deceive others rather than empower them. Their high IQs often makes them dangerous. This is why many of the best-known serial killers who successfully evaded law enforcement were sociopaths. She thinks she has an high IQ.

#7) Sociopaths are incapable of love and are entirely self-serving. They may feign love or compassion in order to get what they want, but they don’t actually FEEL love in the way that you or I do.

#8) Sociopaths speak poetically. They are master wordsmiths, able to deliver a running “stream of consciousness” monologue that is both intriguing and hypnotic. They are expert storytellers and even poets. JoDie tries and believes she is, but fails as she has mostly done in her life.

#9) Sociopaths never apologize. They are never wrong. They never feel guilt. They can never apologize. Even if shown proof that they were wrong, they will refuse to apologize and instead go on the attack. JoDie and the ABC reporter is a classic example.

#10) Sociopaths are delusional and literally believe that what they say becomes truth merely because they say it! Charles Manson, the sociopathic murderer, is famous for saying, “I’ve never killed anyone! I don’t need to kill anyone! I THINK it! I have it HERE! (Pointing to his temple.) I don’t need to live in this physical realm…” Anyone notice how Mason and Arias look alike? They have to be related somehow.

  10. Posted by Observer on May 23, 2013 at 3:10 pm

I noticed when the aggravator verdict came down as “proven” and each juror was asked if this was their verdict, their voices were all strong and assertive when they said, “Yes” except for Juror Number One, a female. She said “yes” but her voice was so weak you could barely hear her. I think she may be the one having a difficult time putting Jodi Arias to death. The other women on the jury may also be holdouts.

Although I believe anyone who kills another human being in cold blood does not deserve to live, I think it is harder for women to put a human being to death than men. We are nurturing by nature. We usually are against war, violence and killing. We are mothers and we will give our life for our young. Jodi may be the age of the daughters of some of the women on the jury. Female jurors may believe that because Jodi is young and comes across immature and passive aggressive that she is harmless and will never kill again.

I hope someone reminds the hold out(s) that Jodi testified that she bought a 9 mm gun right after stabbing Travis 29 times, slitting his throat and shooting him in the head to take on an all male camping trip. This to me is a big red flag that she enjoyed killing men once she had the taste of it. Also Jodi wrote in an email Feb. 14, 2007 to Travis that she went into rages and kicked doors and punched walls. This is what domestic violence abusers do. The violence escalates and only gets worse. She went from kicking doors and punching windows to kicking her mother and stabbing and shooting Travis to death. Since Jodi acts like Travis deserved what he got and what she did was just “a mistake” and “the worst thing I have ever done” she will erupt in violence again if someone rejects her or doesn’t believe her story.

Rage flashed in her eyes and she called Ryan Owens on Good Morning America a “hater” when he asked her, “You’re never going to tell the truth about what really went down in that bathroom are you?” Anyone who rejects her or her lies, is the enemy. Ryan also ignored her demand that she not be shown in shackles and stripes. The next day she tweeted, “Beware of good looking reporters.” She is stabbing him in the back in a passive aggressive way because she is locked in a cell. If she wasn’t in shackles, she may have stabbed Ryan in the heart with a pencil, a fork, a knife whatever she could get her hands on.

I wonder if voodoo dolls really work.
Hmm…..any handy seamtresses in our egg carton??
Shouldn’t be too hard to make a Stabby doll !!

    Materials needed…
    bl/wh striped burlap
stringy black mop strings for hair curtain (scrunchie optional for ponytail)
    fake no-lens glasses
couple of dry twigs for body and limbs
pasty-colored cloth for face (add red dots for cold sores)
two globs of glue for inplants
    pink socks w/brown shower sandals
    chains and handcuffs
LARGE box of extra sharp, extra long pins.

    damn….posts aren’t coming up again….help!!

  13. Posted by jenniferlyn on May 23, 2013 at 3:24 pm

Hmmm maybe there WAS merit to Heavy’s motion for sequestration! They started jury selection in DECEMBER, for crying out loud, and it’s been almost 5 months of trial…to keep the jurors sequestered that long is CRUEL & unusual, and THEY haven’t done anything!! Nothing but get a measly $17 per day for 5 months for.doing their civic duty. I wonder if they get the get paid for all 5 workdays each week, since they never know if there will be court? (& that makes it hard to lrt your employer know when/if you’ll be in on a given day)

  14. Hello Egg’ie good to hear from you! Hope everything is going better for you. I’m ready to conversate. Egg beater Carol is so funny as are you. I enjoy the bar and now I drink every day, all day long. I know Stabby’s must be feeling pretty confident right about now. The homecoming queen may have done it for her. She certainly didn’t help herself although if they are hung or give her life, she will certainly take credit. Anything that goes her way is because of her anything going bad is someone else’s fault. Activity in the court house! Another question? Is the bar open???????

  15. Yup. Total demon.

    • Vacuuming is good Carol E>B>sub?B>K! Burning the house down – not so much!
Having drinks is good – waiting endlessly – not so much –

The wait here is worse than the verdict!!! Now HLN is freaking out as there is activity now in the courtroom, and waiting for Demon’s family to show up.

  25. HLN just said that a deputy went into the court room 6:00 here Central. “This might be it”!!! We’ll see. I bet they are done for the weekend he is gonna escort them out.
That channel really needs to take it down a couple of dozen fricking notches. Lay off the red bull, coffee and JVM’s coke.

OMG! Run & Diet Pepsi thru the nose on that one, CEB! Too frickin’ funny!

      • Sorry, the Phoenix jury screwed up! No decision for the demon from hell. This is really terrible for the Alexander family. Bitch won, probably will never receive the death penalty. This trial has been a travesty of justice. I can’t understand why the jury could not make the right decision. The problem is demon would spend 25-30 years on death row. No camera’s no make-up, 23 hours a day in a extremely small cell. No diva convict treatment there. This would be torture for Arias and this is what this terrible killer needs and deserves. I can’t stand her self serving look of emotional turmoil, her smugness and no remorse at all for the savage killing of Travis Alexander. Arias is a skank and a liar. Probably more interviews from this narcissistic bitch. Sheriff Arpaio, should put an end to the madness of Jodi Arias. ” THE MADNESS OF JODI ARIAS” Please remember this statement!

  33. Posted by RD on May 23, 2013 at 4:13 pm

What angers me is the longer this goes on, the more disconnected it gets, the possibility of a deadlocked jury, it’s a victory for the Spawn. She has had many victories thru out this ordeal. Spawn calls the shots: special dietary needs, her demands met, unbridled access to social networks, phone access, running a business enterprise from jail, list of demands for TV interviews which she schedules like a marketing pro,fan clubs, pulls the strings on Mutt & Jeff (dynamic defense duo) a “rider” disclosure for the interviews, allowed to flap her gums with reckless abandoned, “The S%&$ the Spawn says” reality show, tormenting the Alexander family, all the while flying a stiff middle digit at all who dare question HER, flying the same stiff middle digit at the judicial system, the jury, the judge, what will it take to shut this demon down once and for all? seriosuly?

  34. Elizabeth Erwin @elizabetherwin

Just got into the courtroom…#jodiarias and her lawyers are here.

Word on the skreet is that the family, the selfsame one’s that the demon cited as her reason for begging for life during her campaign speech, instead of the DP that she for seriously wanted (again, putting others before her own desires, brought a tear to Jerry Lee’s eye) couldn’t get to the courthouse today because they were sightseeing at the GD Grand Canyon. No, I’m not referrencing the demon’s lady demon bits (ya’ll saw the pics. just like I did, don’t act like you didn’t) but the other GRAND FUCKING CANYON! I’m sure they all rolled up in the hotel wearing classy souviner T’s, their feet overflowing rubber flip flops and all the babies sneezing fudgesicle juice. Klassay!

Jerry Lee is gonna go ride his Harley now. Yes, it’s in dining room, but I can still crank that bitch and catch a lungfull of carbon moninoxde. This is MY house and if I want to get high as a Georgia pine and ride a GD Harley Davidson in then I sure a shit will. You know, that demon puts me in the mind of one my wives. She was a horrible bitch and possesed by the devil.

        • Dam, Jerry, I would love to meet you sometime. You are a real hoot and a half!
Even though I am married, the hub let’s me have guy drinking buddies to laugh with. I’m going to VA. this summer to meet another great drinking buddy. You take care and keep it as real as you are!

          • In addition to being a bitch possesed possessed by the devil she had something else in common with that demon with the lazy eye. Thought she was artist. Interior decorator. Received her training at Wal-Mart. Sprayed every Damn thing in this house that stood stood still gold.

There is a very special place in HELL for the Demon. I’m disgusted and sick. PLEASE. let’s ALL vow here in Eggland NOT to watch anymore of the Demon’s interviews! It’s all we can do to honor the Alexander family. I know it’s tempting but instead, take a walk or something happy…do not watch ANYTHING DEMON related!

    • Posted by Sully on May 23, 2013 at 4:36 pm

      I’m jiggy with that.

    • Ria, I think I am really done with this case. I’m NOT gonna have this shit take over my summer and being outside. I AM PISSED OFF……

      • Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 4:43 pm

Me too Carol…WTF did the state of AZ just hand over a ton of $$$ for? A bunch of pansy’s who can’t make up their minds??? Do they know what kind of topping they’re going to have on their pizza tonight?

        • Posted by jenniferlyn on May 24, 2013 at 2:57 pm

Yelling aand throwing pllows at the TV is probably a sign that I’ve overdosed on Stabby and this case, but I am nothing if not honest, and I know I will be tuning in on July 18th, assuming it actually starts (again) on that date, which I HIGHLY doubt. Maybe jury selection will start that day, but who knows? I just hope Heavy and Jenny don’t quit, or else this won’t start again until 2014. It will take a new legal team MONTHS to get up to speed on Stabby and her many….”quirks”? Besides, H & J KNOW her, and I think that is a necessity in a DP case to avoid ANOTHER appeal for ineffective assistance of counsel.

      • Posted by mzmaddy33 on May 24, 2013 at 5:37 pm

That’s eggs-actly what my sister and I are saying to one another, too, Carol! We’re done. Too much negativity is bad for one’s health, and I’m not gonna give any power to Stabby to ruin my Summer. Nope, naha, ain’t gonna happen!

  69. HLN will never shut up about this, never.

  70. Damn damn damn hung jury!!!!!!!!!!! Do over in June! Did I hear that right? Damn shut up Nancy Grace about your fiancé!

    • Posted by pfenix on May 23, 2013 at 4:54 pm

No July 18th is what I heard. Meanwhile, I am going to enjoy summer since it took so long to get here.

Boycotting any Jodi Press Shitnanagans until then.

  71. What kind of fu**ery is this….

  72. Posted by jenniferlyn on May 23, 2013 at 4:39 pm

Come on people,.don’t let it get to you…she is still a convicted murderer, and the next jury won’t be hampered by lengthy breaks and migraines. (We hope!)

    • Posted by Barb on May 23, 2013 at 5:33 pm

Ah yes but Stabby gets to allocute again and she has much time to practice her speech and take some “looking remorseful” lessons in preparation to fool some more niave, gullible jurors.

      • Karma is a cold, cold bitch…don’t worry, those “laws of attraction” will come through for her, but not in the way she thought they would.

  73. Someone obviously drank the Kool-Aid and lied about it! Yes she is convicted of first degree premeditated murder and it was aggravated – whoever chose NOT to do the right thing needs to have their head examined….Ggrrrrr! Obviously there needs to be a better way of selecting a jury – good luck on getting a new one that is unbiased!

    • Posted by Barb on May 23, 2013 at 5:36 pm

There needs to be a questionaire that identifies stupid, niave and gullible people for jury selection and make sure the don’t waste the taxpayers money. Or our system needs to change and more information needs to be available to the jurors such as TV interviews, etc. so they can make educated decisions.

  74. Posted by Polk8dot on May 23, 2013 at 4:39 pm

When they were polling the jury, #16 did not sound right. Like she might have been the holdout that blocked everybody else.
Will we ever find out the details?

    • Yes…we will Polk8dot! I think she was the hold out too from the intense scrutiny going on with the experts on HLN. Perhaps a freshly pressed jury will be just what is needed in this penalty phase. This must have been the most difficult experience ever for those jurors. Public statement coming from the jurors.

      • Posted by Polk8dot on May 23, 2013 at 5:15 pm

Well, they just announced that the Jury is refusing to give media statements. Also asked to have ALL their info sealed.
        That it such BULLSHIT!
If you are willing to halt the whole process, you should have the guts to come out and explain.

  75. Posted by jenniferlyn on May 23, 2013 at 4:39 pm

This is just more stuff for Egg to have us peeing ourselves laughing about.

    • jen, I think I am done here, can’t stomach it anymore and I won’t let it ruin my spring and summer. I HATE THAT F#CKING BITCH!

      • But…but we NEEd you Carol…please reconsider. I know I’m not going to be as invested, but I’m seeing it through part time. {{{group hug}}}

  77. Posted by pfenix on May 23, 2013 at 4:46 pm

Just wait…wait till those jury members find out more about those t-shirts on, her lies, her press junket from the other night. They might just feel different then. Right now I DO NOT want to hear an interview from any of them until they have time to find out what has been happening.

Only regret is that I wanted Juan Martinez to point out the Survivor shirt she is selling is a middle finger to the jury, and shows no remorse but hatred to the family. Killing the grandmother with sorrow, reminding the jury her selfish path of destruction.

He is a good lawyer and works hard, so hopefully in round 2 he will be even more prepared to fight for DP.

Need to check out for awhile…later chicks and peeps!

Just like the “48 Hours” stuff was allowed during the guilty phase of the trial, I think JM can bring in the Princess Poopy Head’s worldwind press tour highlights during the mitigation phase next go around.
“Hmm, changing for the better, let’s see, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, what you think about these news clips from a mere few weeks ago after Convicted Murderer Stabby Einstein promised she was going to do such great things and never ever lie again. Cut to the video, Det. Flores.”
“Forget the baby photos, Ladies and Gentlemen, everyone has cute baby photos…even Rasputin was an adorable tyke.”
“Oh, and the defense attorney may say that if you give CMSE the death penalty, that you are killing her. Don’t fall for that circuitous logic. CMSE gave herself the death penalty by the extremely cruel way she butchered her ex boyfriend that she continues to verbally assassinate.”
“A jury of her peers already found her guilty of first degree premeditated murder with aggravated circumstances, and they were unable to see some of the video evidence, I am now going to show you…”

  80. Posted by Tracy on May 23, 2013 at 4:51 pm

Horrible, horrible. This is a victory for the demon, and a tragedy for the poor family!

  81. Thank you all for joining us all this time. Queen Eggo and I love you all.
    This Bar Keep – out.

    • XOXO Eggo and Egg Beater and everyone else on this blog!

    • Carol Egg Beater and Queen Eggo – take a break – but don’t let it get you down – this jury spent long months listening to the demons garbage and got some of it right – she IS convicted of premeditated murder so that part is a blessing –

Frankly I think Home Coming Queen got to someone with the “can you Kill her” bit standing behind the demon’s chair – that’s a pretty strong visualization and must have been visceral for someone –
Frankly if anyone has not been keeping up with this trial they should not be on any jury pool anyway – and if they are so invested in their religious beliefs they can’t honestly vote for the death penalty – they too should be disqualified. If she is to be tried by a jury of her peers you’d have to find a dozen ” lieing stabby einsteins” and that in itself is an impossibiility.

  82. Posted by debra roberts on May 23, 2013 at 4:53 pm

To me this jury is nothing but wimpy, after 5 months they owed a verdict whether death or life but something to Travis and his family. Its heart wrenching and I for one will pray first for the family and then that the right jury is selected this time, one that will give her death, but I won’t be watching not this or any other trial ever again. Arizona needs to rethink their laws, once 1st degree with premeditation is met is should be an automatic death sentence. I hope this jury stays out the public just like Caylee’s, I for one don’t want to hear anything they have to say. Shameful!

  83. Wow I guess left too soon. So pissed!

  84. Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 4:57 pm

Okay, here is my take and please take into account that I’ve had a few beers (or more). I’m English, I’m a British citizen living in this country and it is the greatest country in the world, I thank God and everything else everyday that I landed up here. I love this country and will never live anywhere else. My 3 precious son’s were born here and I am so glad and so thankful that my boys are American Citizen’s, they take pride in the country they were so lucky to be born in.

With that said, the jury system needs a serious overhaul. I’ve yakked my husband’s ear off many times about how juror’s should be like military reservists. I mean honestly, what’s so bad about that? It’s not a full time job yet it’s something you’re interested in and, when called to duty, you’re 100% invested. You’re not Joe Schmoe hauled in off the street, with no knowledge of the system…you’ve committed yourself to being a juror and can still hold down a job and live life etc. You show up every 6 month’s for updates and you’re savvy with the law.

Just my thought’s…I’m sad and disgusted today. I had faith in this jury but now I really feel an over haul is needed.

      • Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 5:08 pm

Love you too Carol and I’m just so so sad:( I know you and Eggo are too.

        • Posted by Sully on May 23, 2013 at 8:08 pm

I did my rant on judicial overhaul the other day…but I’m with you on this. I would not be totally opposed to “professional” jury or decision by the judge. I know some cases are decided by the judge now, but some of these cases are so far over the heads of some of the folks selected. (I’m speaking in general. I don’t know anything about these people.) Especially when you are requiring a unanimous verdict from 12 people, I’m shocked there aren’t more hung juries.

    • Posted by jenniferlyn on May 23, 2013 at 5:09 pm

From your mouth to our justice system’s ears! That’s a fantastic idea, it’s unfortunate that they won’t listen to one person’s opinion, you almost have to change the laws by bring unfairly accused of a crime. No one’s volunteering for that one!

I almost hope they cut a deal fr LWOP just to guarantee she isn’t given a chance at parole. OMG CNN- WE DON’T NEED TO HEAR FROM JOSE BAEZ EVER AGAIN UGHHH

      • Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 5:17 pm

And how Jen, jose baez is a turd and a cruel reminder of the failure of the system.

      • Posted by Sully on May 23, 2013 at 8:09 pm

As soon as they said the name “Jose Baez,” boom, TV off.

    • I’m totally in agreement with you Ria! – Unless you are trained in the legal system how can you adequately enforce it’s laws? This should have been an automatic sentence of life on death row – until the sentence was enforced.
There were no doubts in this trial – so mitigating factors to give the devil’s spawn any less than the death penalty or all life in prison – for these people not to be able to come to agreement for the sake of the Alexander family and the torment they are experiencing is the biggest tragedy of all!
      |I’m disgusted too!

      • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 6:16 pm

peony, it’s crazy that they could come to agreement. I think the majority was for death and I think that REALLY freaked Stabby out! I think she thought Life was going to be a slam dunk, that nobody would even consider the DP for her. Just like she wasn’t expecting her Murder in the First conviction.

    • I agree, too, Ria, let’s all get on Juan Martinez’s support page on Facebook and bombard him with more support and points like “She saved that tape to Blackmail him, that’s the only reason he said those ugly things to her out of fear and frustration”. The first part of the sex talk was consensual. Whether on not she changed her mind about it later was irrelevant. I ONLY went along with it because blah, blah, blah.

      • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 6:14 pm

eve, I don’t have FB but if I did I would support Juan’s page! There is zero evidence Travis asked Jodi to record that conversation, it’s so obvious she had an agenda in mind when she did.

  85. Sentencing for murder 1 should be automatic death not left up to jury. Stubby should be very happy damn damn damn! What’s best in the bar something STRONG! Was the judge crying?

  86. Posted by jenniferlyn on May 23, 2013 at 5:14 pm

  87. Posted by Terri LaValle on May 23, 2013 at 5:15 pm

This is really sad. I feel so bad for the Alexander family. I wonder how many jurors held out. I know all it takes is one. But where in the world are they going to find an impartial jury now? Everyone in Maricopa County and beyond has heard of her, knows of the case, has seen her interviews, heard her lies, so how will this be handled. Unless you live in a cave you could not be a juror the next time. I just hope they stop the interviews, stop the tweeting, stop selling the stupid shirts and the stupid artwork. Stop it all right here and now……….Let her rot in solitary in jail until July.

    • Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 5:44 pm

Ugh Terri, it’s just sickening and sad:( I don’t understand how they could agree on first degree murder yet not agree on the punishment;(

  88. Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 5:27 pm

How how how can they have not reached a verdict??? Seriously. They had all the time in the world to figure it out! It’s not like a 2 week limit was imposed on them. They already decided the murder was 1st degree pre-meditated…so what, you’re a spineless wimp who decides they’re not going to speak their mind until the state of AZ has spent a crapload of money on you??? I get a hung jury but a hung jury after a few hours? A hung juror who stuck their ass in the ground for another day after they knew they weren’t moving their ass?

We live in the BEST country in the WORLD. And we will preserve that. For all you F*ckers who think otherwise. well…have fun:)

Stabby, you’ve already been found guilty of 1st degree murder so your path hasn’t changed. If you think support for the Alexander family is going to fade away…wrong again. It’s only going to build.

  89. Posted by Polk8dot on May 23, 2013 at 5:30 pm

I am really distraught over this outcome, and here is why.
The fiscal cost was tremendous. The human cost was even higher. The outcome not satisfying to anybody.
There is no way that the Defense is not going to ask for change of venue. That will add another delay. With that, or against that, there may be jury sequestration required.
Even if all of that goes to the Prosecution’s advantage, there still is no guarantee of the outcome. It may be life, it may be again HUNG JURY.
In light of all that, I am very concerned that Juan’s boss, the Maricopa County District Attorney will decide that the costs outweigh the benefits of a re-trial, even though it would only be the final stage.
He is responsible to AZ taxpayers, he has to be able to justify another $1M in expenses to try this bit@h. He may not be willing to take their rath if the money is spent, but the outcome is again this, this …. this NOTHING.
I suspect that the Prosecution may be forced by all these circumstances into taking the Death Penalty off the table, and presenting the plea to the Judge for LWOP. Which the Judge apparently may not accept, as constitutionally it is HER decision.
So I am very worried that Juan will be forced to just accept the LIFE sentence, at Judge’s discretion.
It is possible that this horrible cow just got her life saved.
    F U @ K that!

    • Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 5:36 pm

I give a HALLELUJAH to everything you said Polk, I’m SO angry right now…I don’t even know what to say:( I hope Juan continues to fight! It’s just scary because we know the Demon impacted someone on that jury….that’s REALLY scary:(

    • Polk8dot – I agree with all that you said – But there is one bright spot with this – Mr. Martinez now knows what Stabby Einsteins song and dance is about and were i him I would use the same dirty tricks that her defense attorneys did – Plus if the now public interviews can be used against her – I’d blast them also – And surely there can be a time limit on this penalty phase of the procedure –
Basically if she gets whole life in prison – she will live in solitary and die eventually -If she gets the death penalty she will live in solitary and have a few appeals and eventually die by lethal injection.
so if Juan Martinez can get whole life from the judge without a new jury I’d say go for it! This hag will never be in anyones face again – She’ll be inmate # xxxxxxxxx. No queen bee in general population – no teaching anyone spanish – or recycling – what a joke! she’s a dreamer – she is nothing and has nothing to offer society and the sooner she is long forgotten the better!

    • Posted by Sully on May 23, 2013 at 8:15 pm

Totally understand. I read tonight that the DA said that the prosecution will move forward for another penalty phase trial. I don’t know if that decision will change, but that’s what he said tonight.

  90. Had a young man driven a 1,000 miles, sliced up his ex-girlfriend and then trashed her, he’ld be on death row. JMO

  91. Posted by RD on May 23, 2013 at 5:36 pm

I am still in disbelief. if people thought the Spawn’s TV interviews were tack-less before, just wait we haven’t seen anything yet! be prepared to hear tripe like you’ve never heard it before! This is just the beginning. My heart is so broken for the Alexander family. each & everyone of those jurors should be made to stand before the Alexander family and do some explaining. Let down? yes this jury did let someone down & betrayed them, Travis Alexander & his family. this jury gave the spawn a victory of epic proportions. yes I know, 1st degree conviction blah blah. The spawn & her new defense duo will now have the ammunition to wreak havoc. Spawn is now giggling to herself standing on her head in jail singing “beat you brat”! I mean really did any of you see the look in her demon black as coal eyes? eggers, help me I am seriously bent!

    • Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 5:43 pm

I’m not a very religious person but honestly, let’s just PRAY PRAY PRAY for the family! No evil should be allowed to touch them. I’m going to pray my butt off for them…it’s not traditional Morman prayer but whatever works.

      • Ria – I would hate to be the juror who held up this trial after so much money was wasted and so much time was spent – basically whoever kept the jurors from reaching a unanimous vote is now an accomplice in the demons murder of Travis by not agreeing to have justice meted out to her.
That juror will be quilty their whole life and never sleep well again – knowing they are the cause of the suffering for his family. Surely if there was just one person as a hold out it would have made more sense for them to step down and excuse themselves – as there were others who could have stepped in.

Secondly the concept of unanimous vote being needed is ludicrous! The government is run by the majority voted in party – most things are by majority votes – rarely if ever do you get consensus by all the disparate factions – This world and society are now too diversified for a unanimous vote being viable – majority vote makes more sense to me.

        • Posted by Joyce Buchanan on May 24, 2013 at 12:41 pm

I totally agree that it should be majority rules – 8 for death – 4 against.
It is asinine to expect all 12 to agree on this case especially when the defence
went along strongly with JA lies and all the trashing of Travis. I came to dislike
Wilmott almost as much as her demon twin. It sent shivers up my spine to see
her place her hands on JA shoulders pleading not to put her to death.

      • Posted by RD on May 23, 2013 at 7:19 pm

A prayer is a prayer Ria, your heart felt thoughts will not go unnoticed. I am so furious right now. I have to calm down a bit before I can humble myself to offer prayers. Seriously? middle of July to seat another jury? and what, her lawyers bailed? new ones of those? how much will this cost the tax payers of AZ? the Spawn plays this game well. The only hope is if Mr. Martinez can capitalize on all the post verdict TV spots or all the tweet garbage. The sun hasn’t even set today I would bet Spawn has fired up the social networks sending out messages of glorious victory & contempt for all the “haters” and those who absolutely dare to question her superiority. I can’t remember ever having such hateful thoughts towards a person, but, then, we’re not dealing with a person are we? what we have here is evil incarnate, soulless.

        • Posted by jenniferlyn on May 23, 2013 at 9:12 pm

Despite wanting a verdict as much as thr next person, I can’t fault any of the jurors for holding out. I wouldn’t want people trying to move me from my opinion if my mind was 100%-not-changing-it-for-anything. I’m totally open to discussion, and attempting to see the situation from the opposite viewpoint, but once you make up your mind, it should be OK that you aren’t willing to budge. That’s what our justice system allows. It may not be right, and certainly not easy, but until they change things, it’s all we’ve got.

          • Posted by Ria on May 23, 2013 at 9:45 pm

With all due respect Jen, holding out is BS. Holding out is merely trying to prove a point rather than following the law. All these jurors knew this was a DP case and if anyone has qualified for it, it’s Jodi. Juan’s no green pea, he didn’t fight for DP on this for the fun of it.

So sad for the family of Travis, for JM, for Flores! BUT, I feel that there was, most likely, that one hold out on the DP (16) and the other jurors just could not in good conscience go with LWOP. They knew that this phase would be mistried (probably what their questions were about ) and instead of giving Stabby what she wanted they, with much sadness went with ununanimous verdict, knowing that the next jury with give her DEATH!

Our sadness and disbelief can not be believed, for today’s news was not what we wanted to hear. But take a moment, step back and breathe, and remind ourselved that whilst we are all doing what we like to do, the demoness is not. despite the result today she is not drinking a frappe at Starbucks or enjoying life. She is in a cell alone that will remain her home for a very long time. tonight when i kiss my son goodnight and hold him tonight I breathe a little easier knowing this evil is not out on the streets. i feel for the Alexander family who must be feeling that this will never end but I hope they know that one day and hopefully soon it will be over. I hope they take stength and comfort in their families and friends and in the knowledge that our man Juan will not let this go away easily. good night, god bless, tomorrow or in this case the month of June will be a brand new day. Peace.

I have been angry and raging with tears and disbelief. Seriously, for my physical and mental health, I’m seeking a more positive outlook on this. I do not watch cable tv, but read and contribute at times in blogs whose writers I admire. That’s why I’m here.

I feel the the betrayal that the Alexanders must feel. The betrayal isn’t our justice system; it’s the corollaries that accompany it….the interviews that Jodi was allowed to do, the demands for make-up and not showing her prison stripes that the tv stations were happy to do. That makes me want to spit.

I would hate to see the system changed to a class of “professional” jurors. I believe that the dedication and heart and soul that “random” jurors have make it work, imperfectly but true to what America is. The Voir Dire roots out much of the fools and people with agendas. After that process, it’s a matter of having the cleanest investigators involved and staying 3 steps ahead of the weasly defense lawyers. I’ve settled down and admire the jurors. The hardest part was agreement on Murder 1 with aggravating circumstances. If the County and the Alexanders can agree, she’ll be on a bus to Perryville forever. Forget new jurors. Judge Stephens will undoubtedly drop Jodi into LWOP. If Jodi becomes eligible for reconsideration in 25 yrs, I think she’ll have behaved so badly in stir that she’ll remain there. And, with no DP, she’ll get NO freebee automatic appeal.

Phew. now it’s off my chest.

Just had a serious conversation with a lawyer friend about “professional” jurors.
After the Casey Anthony debacle, I was livid like everyone that that jury could have gotten it sooooo wrong. Livid that they were that naive and ignorant, and so easily manipulated by a slick, car salesman defense lawyer like Baez. I voiced my concerns about the American jury sustem back then..and I echo it now again.
Maybe being a jurist should be a paid, legitimate position. maybe then people could be cooly objective and trained to be aware of details and evidence. To not be vulnerable or impressed with courtroom performances by lawyers drooling for the win..!!
My lawyer friend said “but that’s not our system, it is to be a jury of your peers.” Well, having been on a jury and going through Voir Dire, I saw a lot of people picked who shouldn’t have been for various reasons. The lawyers strive to stack the decks for their win, be it victim or defendent.
I don’t know *sigh*……it just seems to a talent show rather than justice.

It’s not “professional jurors” per se MaRiley, so much as it’s people who are dedicated to the cause. It should be a pool of people picked from much what we have now, only they’ve already gone through the jury selection process. They’re educated as to the law, they get a “brush up” lesson every 6 months or so to update them and to make sure they still choose to be a part of the juror system. They want to be there, in the same way a military reservist wants to be there…it’s not giving your life up for the cause but it’s stepping in with an educated mind to fulfill a need.

Picking Joe Schmoe off the street isn’t working for us. Plain and simple, it’s just not working.

      • Posted by Sully on May 23, 2013 at 8:25 pm

I think what some of you are suggesting is like a Grand Jury. I’m not sure how it works in all states, but in Texas they are hand picked from the community and consider numerous cases over a period of months. However, they are hearing evidence to determine if there is enough to “bill” or “no bill” (i.e., send the case forward to trial.)
A modified version of this could be a Grand Jury type of body who would hear difficult cases and make decisions.
Also, I’d like to see a cap on money spent on trials. Probably unreasonable, but my mind boggles at what good could have been done in the world with $1.8 million.
And the length of time – 5 months? Totally unnecessary. For starters, the defendant should never have been allowed to have squatter’s rights on the witness stand. Ridiculous.
And there should be some kind of filter to weed out ridiculous “expert” testimony to faux claims.

Yes yes and Yes Sully! I’m not a citizen so I feel guilty shooting my mouth off and believe me, i thank God every day that I’m so blessed to live in this country and that my little men were born here:)

But aside from that…It just seems weird that we can drag people out of their everyday existence and then force them to decide someone’s fate several months later, when they have no knowledge of the system!

Well put! I have to agree with you. I just want her to go away. If she gets LWOP she will be in the same living situation as death row inmates for at least 3 years -or so I heard. If that is true, it might be best for all.
The poor Alexander family. Their suffering knows no bounds.

  104. Did y’all hear Dr. Drew comparing the people who want the DEMON to be put to death
to animals? Like we’re some barbaric species. For some reason, he can’t understand why ANYONE would want to impose the DP. Is he nuts? Has he not watched the trial? It’s about JUSTICE for Travis and PUNISHMENT for the BUTCHER. Are those concepts so hard for him to grasp? He keeps saying he doesn’t want Travis’ family to keep suffering but does he think they won’t keep suffering if she’s given LIFE and continues to reign over her felonious kingdom, write her memoirs, sell her tracings as art and keep “conversating” about how great she is and how depraved Travis was either online or with whoever puts a camera in front of her horse-face? GIVE ME A BREAK. Huggy-kissy group therapy may work on his addicts but not on EVIL KILLERS. Dr. Drew, please grow a pair!!!!

Dr. Drew can’t take a side, all the TH’s are ass kisser’s. Pay no attention to him and just pray the Alexander family finds peace and justice.

    • Posted by Sully on May 23, 2013 at 8:32 pm

The point he continues to miss (while discusssing her BPD and psycopathy and sociacopthy and his reaction to both manifestations) is that people are incensed that this “person” has committed a heinous crime and constantly jukes the system, abuses defendant’s rights by appearing on TV and is allowed to continually bash the victim – without. any. consequences.
I think that is pretty easy concept to get. I totally understand why people want her to get the D.P. It appears to be the only way to stop her, since defense attys, mitigation specialists, psychologist, domestic violence expert, family, Twitter buddy, etc., have done nothing except enable her barbaric behavior, in my opinion. And the weak response that is given – well, Jodi is running the show.
Since when is a convicted felon allowed to “run the show?” That needs to stop and stop now. I sincerely hope that Sheriff Joe continues to crackdown on interviews, and the next time she is seen is when she is sentenced. (I personally would not object to barring TV cameras from the courtroom next go round.)

Just remember that this is the same “Doctor” who, while overseeing “Celebrity Rehab” (yes, I watched, judge away!) looked straight into the camera and explained why having Tom Sizemore and Heidi Fleiss detoxing/rehabbing together was theraputically appropriate. He was wearing a stethoscope when he said it, so it was SUPER offcial and I’m sure had nothing to do with ratings. Yes, Tom beat the shit out of Heidi on the reg. but, “that was in the past” it would be a chance for them to “heal those wounds!” Everybody knows detox is the very best time to address DV. That’s just science!

Then they moved to Sober House together to continue working on their “issues” I will always treasure Heidi standing on the balcony of the Sober House taunting Tom until he lost. his. shit. and threw his sushi plate, cause he’s from the streets!! He jumped around like the psycho gorillia he is and she just laughed down from the balcony. TEAM HEIDI!

That was when I knew he was completely full of shit and as addicted to fame as his “celebrity clients.” Fuck him and his stheoscope. And why is he always on with women every night?! Pussy. I’d like to see some male rednecks with quick tempers and no futures as his “behavior bureau” one night. Maybe some NJ 300 meatballs with track suits and gold chains….

Thanks, Tanis. A huge victory for the Alexander family and Travis himself is that the evil that Jodi intended to hurt his good name has been found, in law to be a LIE.

  106. 8 for death
4 (who were watching another trial apparently) for life

This is a very sad day for everyone. It shoud has been very simple IF they had all followed the LAW. The non-existent mitigators had nothing on the horrific aggravators in this case. What the hell happened here? Well, good news is Stabby will be locked in her cell 23 hrs a day and won’t be doing anymore interviews. We can count on Juan bringing in the ones she’s done already to the next jury who will hopefully have no problemo dispatching Stabby back to Hell.

I don’t even drink but I could use one tonight. This sucks. Btw, Stabbys family had better things to do today. While Stabby was choking back giggles in court, they were touring the Grand Canyon. The whole family is fucked up.

  107. Posted by Observer on May 23, 2013 at 8:44 pm

I am disappointed by the non verdict but it may be a blessing in disguise. This time Juan will make sure he gets a death qualified jury. They won’t be emotionally exhausted and have a five month relationship with Jodi like this jury. The mini trial will be limited to the way Travis Alexander died and the mitigating factors, which are none. She will just be a convicted murderess to this new jury.

I think Jodi was seriously upset about the non verdict because now she has to tell her lies all over again and she has probably forgotten what she said because she was all set to move to a retirement community and teach sign language and Spanish. She was hoping for life with parole in 25 years. Since she has already been found guilty of first degree premeditated and felony murder and the aggravator factor of cruelty has been proven, all this jury has to decide is if she gets the death penalty. Juan will put Kevin Horne on the stand and show the autopsy pictures which should convince them of death.

What does Jodi have but her own testimony? She has no witnesses, except Darrell Brewer, to testify. And he didn’t witness any abuse. Patty won’t testify because she could be prosecuted and she has already said she knows nothing about child abuse and didn’t know Jodi when she was with Travis. If Jodi’s brothers, sister or parents testify, Juan can show the interrogation tape where theyher parents said she was growing pot on the roof, she was strange, raged at her mother and was obsessed with Travis. All Jodi can testify about is the child abuse and domestic violence, which this jury will most likely reject because she has no evidence or witnesses to back it up.

If she testifies, Juan will confront her lies and play her latest interviews where she trashed Travis, her attorneys, Juan and the jury. How can she say her parents abused her and then have them be the reason she wants to live to this new jury? If she plays the sex tape and shows the same emails and text messages she will shoot herself in the foot because these jurors will see the autopsy photos and not appreciate her trashing the victim she murdered in cold blood. Plus Wilmott and Nurmi will probably be allowed to withdraw since she said on TV they wouldn’t call witnesses who witnessed her bruises and they didn’t get along. I doubt if her new attorneys will be comfortable with the disgusting sex talk, which fell flat in front of the other jury.

Such good facts Observer. I’m so upset, it’s almost 1 a.m. here and I’m working on being happy so hopefully I can sleep but I’m so upset the jury was hung. After all they went through, months and months, they just threw it away?

    • Posted by RD on May 23, 2013 at 9:38 pm

But, in the convicted murderess’ world of beautiful butterflies & unicorns, where pigs do indeed fly about snorting happily, this next phase will go exceedingly well–in her mind. I agree with your observations I would further add just maybe she is sitting right now thinking oh crap, I shouldn’t have done or said a few things recently,,,,,,

    • Posted by Sully on May 23, 2013 at 10:20 pm

Well said, GB. I don’t think Miss Press Tour of 2013 thought the jury would be hung. She would be on her merry way to the retirement home, as you so well put it, selecting a campaign manager for her next run at Retirement Home Idol.
Instead she is back in zebra stripes in jail and I’m sure her mind is whirling at which old lies are gems to keep and what new whoppers can she concoct now. Ick.

I’m with Sully and others that will from this day forward…boycott anything the heifer has to say in any way of interviews… any type of media.
Ha.. lifetime has that movie supposed to premiering at the end of June…I couldn’t even watch the special previews they were airing last night.. *MUTE*
I say boycott that too… ughhhh just soooooo over the top sick about this.

Sooo I guess this means I won’t be hearing from Juandermous anytime soon… 😦
of course I don’t even want to hear a peep from the jury..not a hear!??!

  117. Posted by NancyB on May 23, 2013 at 11:20 pm

    8 for Death

    4 for Life

The problem that I have is that I truly do NOT believe that they followed the law. What mitigator weighed more then the especially cruel aggravator that all 12 of them had already agreed on??? Book club? Selling T-shirts? Donating hair?? Teaching ASL -sign language??? Teaching espanol? Her families feelings? A recycling program? Come on.

I wonder what these 4 may think and how they may feel when they see the AZ Central video from 2 days ago with the former guard from Perryville who said that the prison already has each and every one of those programs that SHE was going to introduce for the inmates?

What mitigation factor was of greater weight then the especially cruel aggravator??? ZIP. Which means they based their decision on some emotional and/or ethereal basis which is such a disappointment that their allegiance to rational thought and adherence to the law were so easily discarded in less than one hour.

    • Excellent points NancyB.

These jurors sat through the entire evidence given during the trial – how is it possible that 12 new jurists (who don’t know all the facts) can rule when all they are to be given is a thumbnail sketch of the murder.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the choice is LWOP or DP – parole has been taken out of the equation.

      • Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 5:10 am

No, as Martinez told the jury she is eligible for parole after 25 years if she gets life.

    • Nancy B – you are so correct – listening to the interview from the jury foreman – who seemed very earnest about how they had to take emotion off the table of considerations – then makes the statement that they felt she must have been abused to do such a crime – So instead of accepting that she was not abused but a willing participant in all the sexual games and gave as much abuse through stalking and slashing of tires and breaking into Travis accounts and email and such ….they felt they needed to find the reason for her heinous crime which is NOT part of the jury instruction at all – Sometimes there is no reason that makes sense to anyone except the murderess.
Their job was to listen – accept the evidence and punish the perpetrator –
Instead they drank the demons koolaid –

  118. Posted by Janine on May 24, 2013 at 1:11 am

I wounder how the jury are feeling now as they can finally google Jodi Arias and see all the footage they could not see before. I think the 4 who were for life are most likely feeling pretty bad. If the jury pop by Eggtree news and see my post so far down the page I don’t hold any frustration or angst aginst you, you did what you thought was right and we cant ask for more than that.

  119. Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 4:38 am

I believe the four who wouldn’t sentence Jodi Arias to death feel although she premeditated and slashed Travis to death she couldn’t help how she acts because she is mentally ill. She showed she is delusional when she said Travis was a pedophile because he said on the sex tape she sounded like a 12 year old and wanted her to wear Spiderman underwear and that she was going to change the prison system. They feel she can’t help it.

The problem with that thinking is every person who murders someone as cruelly as she did is crazy or she wouldn’t be capable of planning a murder and intending the victim to suffer a horrible death to get revenge for abandoning her.

Death is the only thing that will stop her from killing again. I don’t think there is any medicine that will give her a conscience or empathy or remorse. She simply cannot feel normal emotions so she must be put to death because her goal is to get out after 25 years and she will kill again if someone rejects her or doesn’t believe her con.

    • Sadly Observer you are very right – the 4 who believe she was abused don’t know real abused women. With real abuse a woman tries to get away from her attacker not rent a car and drive 1000 miles out their way to have sex with him again and then kill him.
Of course – the stalking behaviour, the slashing of the tires, the sneaking in the dog door, hiding under the christmas tree – all this and more is NOT normal – but the acts of a delusional person. will she ever stop – NO! She was only getting started and liked the kill – it gave her some sort of rush – likely she was only beginning or why immediately buy another gun and knife to take on her camping trip with a group of guys

It’s hard for anyone to understand that a sociopath has No Feelings! None – for anyone – except themselves – All their manipulations are to gain something for themselves – they have no conscience – no remorse and only copy what they see as normal emotions in a situation – If she gets out or prison she will kill again –

If an animal has rabies we are smart enough to put it down – this woman is a rabid animal – sadly some on the jury couldn’t understand that. In a way they are now accessories to her murder of Travis – May God have mercy on their souls for I have none!

  120. Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 5:27 am

Just saw the foreman’s interview on Good Morning America.

They bought the story that she was verbally and emotionally abused. Too bad they weren’t privy to what inspired those verbal taunts.

Said the Aleander family affected them deeply but they were told they couldn’t let that emotion affect their verdict. Said a lot of crying in jury room.

This info should give Martinez ammo for the next round, but he’s going to have to fight the abuse thing.

I still say she has set back the cause of domestic violence by at least a generation because nobody but the jury believed it.

I thought it would help to hear their reasoning. It didn’t.

    • Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 6:58 am

I didn’t see Good Morning America. Did the foreman say they all believed she was verbally abused or just the four who refused to give her death? Do they really believe she doesn’t deserv to die for planning to murder, torturing and killing Travis because he called her names like skank, slut and three hole wonder?

      • Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 7:23 am

He didn’t give the breakdown on who believed abuse or who didn’t. Although, I think he did believe it. They didn’t know about the tire slashing or other stalking behavior, I believe. It will be interesting to see if they give interviews later after they have been exposed to info they didn’t know about.

        • Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 8:16 am

The state’s first witness, Mimi Hall testified about the stalking behavior. She said Travis told her he had a stalker ex girlfriend who slashed his tires and that of his girlfriend but he did not name the stalker. The jury asked the defense witness Lisa Diadone, Travis’s ex girlfriend whose tires were slashed, if she called Jodi Arias Travis’s stalker and she answered yes. She wasn’t allowed to talk about the slashed tires because that would be deemed prejudicial but she did say Travis was upset that his vehicle was damaged. In a telephone call to Flores the day the body was found, the jury heard Jodi say “someone slashed Travis’s tires and I was concerned about him” so the jury heard that his tires were indeed slashed.

Disgusting outcome…I’m speechless and very depressed. Commenting on the non-verdict would only mirror the opinions of most who have posted here already. But, I have been thinking about what is and will go on in Stabby’s delusional head. For the past five years she has been “High” on all the attention, the controversy, and the manipulation. Right now she is sitting in a cell with no one to talk to, no one to manipulate, no make up, no one to give her pep talks and rub her shoulders. All she has is her lies and delusions. Somewhere in that sick brain of hers she HAS to know that she is scum…..don’t ya think? She has to know that no one in this world thinks she is anything other than a demon. Her attorneys had to fight for her. Given a choice they never would have defended her. Given a choice I bet her family would wish she was never born. The only “friends” she has are those that have been manipulated by her.
She is all by herself and will be for a long- long time. Her hell is that she has to live with herself by herself. The highlight of her life will be the guards walking her to the showers three times a week. Maybe she will get off on a new set of attorneys to “dazzle” but that is going to be short lived. The media will turn their backs on her very soon. Either way…DP or LWOP she will be lonely for a very long time and that is poison for a sociopath.

    • Thanks Lulu’s mom for writing down almost all my exact thoughts about this lying, conniving loser. This is going to sound gross and it is gross but, I worked for a Union many years ago and came to know many cigar smoking, 5 ft tall Leaders. One in particular said a line about a “scab” who would cross the picket line and it’s never left my head. It fits for Stabby like the nice striped outfit she will wear everyday. “The best part of her dripped down her father’s (or mother’s, I guess) leg. I dunno – I look at her and that’s what comes to mind. just sayin….. One lying murderer should never have the power this maniac had over the victim’s family for 5 years. Somebody has to shut her off. Drip, drip….. Thank you for this fantastic blog Egg. I just love your sick humor and looked forward to your post every day, along with all the replies. You hooked me like a large mouthed bass. The morning-after can be a dismal time in some situations, can’t it?
Refections and questions come hard and fast.

Is our trial system an colorful arena for lawyers to perform like acrobats or athletes, dazzling the audience (jury) with yet another triple jump or slapshot? Is that what wins “Justice” for the victims…or not?
Is keeping out “prejudicial” evidence from a jury sworn to make an “informed decision” done to assure the lawyers have more opportunities to “perform.”

Would these 4 jurors have remained steadfast in their view of Arias **IF** they had known ALL the details???
These are the questions swirling around my head this morning.

  123. Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 7:30 am

I just saw the clip on Good Morning America of the foreman’s statement and he didn’t talk about what went on in deliberations at all. He didn’t say what the other jurors believed. He only said what he personally believed. He said he believed Travis verbally and emotionally abused Jodi, that he didn’t believe her self defense story and that he believed her 18 days on the stand hurt her because her story kept changing. Obbviously, the jurors didn’t all feel she was verbally abused or they would have just given her life. The eight jurors who voted for death obviously believed she was an evil sociopath as Travis had stated.

  124. I’ve ranted and raved and cried and threw things. I was like , if it were a young man who dated a young woman for 5 months, then she break up with him. He then moved a 1000 miles to her city and stalked her for 2 years. Then he moved back home for a month. Then he stole a gun and borrow gas cans and buy another. Rent a car a 100 miles from his house. Turned his cell phone off. Drove a 1000 miles to her city. Have sex with her. Took pictures of her naked. Stabbed her 27 times. Slit her throat. Shot her in the head. Drove to another city and got to 2nd base with another chick the next day….
At trial, there were inadvertent pictures of him dragging her bloody and lifeless body, DNA of him in his bloody palm print..
This dude would not be on trial for 6 months. He would get death penalty in 15 minutes.
Then I was mad as hell at the jury. Then I came across this link of the jury getting on the bus. Then I saw JVM chasing after #9 and I was so mad at her!
Then I realized that they served the people of Arizona for 6 months on $12 a day. Then I realized that they actually followed the admonitions and didn’t watch/listen/talk about the case on/to the media. They are just regular people who sat through hell.
Then I saw the foreman on GMA and he said that Travis mentally abused Jodi Arias.
Then I said, there goes another victim of the Demon Spawn’s manipulation. I wonder if he would sit down with the media again after he realized he’s been duped. I wonder if his old heart could take it. This jury (especially the 4 that couldn’t vote for death) is another victim of Jodi Arias. How they could come to the decision where the mitigating factors out weigh the aggrevating factors, I would never know. She’s a “talented artist” doesn’t even begin to match with torture and near decapitation…
Thanks Egg-o for letting us have the avenue to vent. You are awesome. Carol, thanks for babysitting.
Link to the jury getting on the bus.

When Willmott said, “Two wrongs do not make a right”….does that also apply to Arias’s relentless and blatant abuse and manipulation of the mental/emotional state of Travis’s family? Beginning with sending flowers to his bereaved grandmother, sadistically writing in his memorial book, showing up at the memorial service?

I also believe that her 18 days on the stand coming so early on, which the DT knew would include JM’s seering cross exam, was also calculated to become muddled and foggy in the jury’s minds as the rest of the trial continued. If they had had that testimony with all her contradictions and challenged lies fresh in their minds, it may have gone differently.

My deepest apologies if I offended anyone last night or was out of line…I was drunk!!! Like the drunkest I’ve been in a very long time! Add that to my anger. So if I was rude to anyone here, I apologize! I’m too hungover to go back and read my comments from last night so I don’t know what the heck I wrote LOL:)

I’m thankful the hubs is home today, he’s watching baseball so I won’t torture myself with HLN all day.

I hope round 2 of this phase brings justice to Travis and his family.

Actually sounded like someone I would hang out with. 🙂

GB, it was a horrible hangover. I don’t drink hard liquor…not for any particular reason but I just don’t (ok, 80’s vodka induced flashbacks!!!). I threw up vodka when I was 19 and have feared it ever since…not as much as I fear showering in front of Stabby though:)

  128. Posted by Chris West Palm Beach on May 24, 2013 at 9:32 am

I am taking what the jury foreman said about the verbal abuse with a grain of salt. It was his opinion. The main problem I see is that if Jodi was unatractive, or a girl from the
hood, or a person of color, or a male They would have come back with death. People have trouble putting a “girl” with a side pony and wispy bangs to eventual death. She
acted frail and coy. they fell for it. They lost their perspective during the mitigation phase. 8-4 is not close. I hope after cooling down a bit the family and Juan will offer a
life sentence plea. I believe she deserves death, but the odds are not with that verdict.
Now she sits in her cell alone,no cameras, thinking about ALL those interviews that may come back to haunt her. She is at the end of her rope and everyone hates her.

    • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 11:27 am

Could Juan still offer a plea? I imagine he’ll go with what the family wants but I don’t know. I feel sick when I think about his poor siblings:( They’ll be coming up on the 5 year anniversary of Travis’ death soon with still no complete end to this.

      • Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 12:24 pm

Juan doesn’t do pleas. He is committed to get a death sentence. Jodi won’t take a plea. She wants a death or life sentence so she can appeal it. She believes her first degree murder sentence will be over turned and she will get a new trial and can manipulate a new jury into believing her outrageous lies about self defense and let her walk. She believes she didn’t get a fair trial because Juan was mean and the judge allowed cameras into the courtroom and didn’t sequester the jury. She also believes the jury betrayed her when they found her guilty of first degree premeditated and felony murder.

        • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 1:18 pm

I think Stabby was a bit freaked out by the fact that it wasn’t unanimous, because it meant some of those jurors believed she should get death. I agree with you, in her fairytale existence she thinks she’s still somehow getting out.

  129. Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 9:34 am

I think the jurors might have worked harder to agree on life or death if they hadn’t had the option of “No unanimous agreement” on the verdict slip. I believe the jury instructions even said each juror could have their own mitigating factor and hold on to their own personal views, which was what they did. I doubt if any of the jurors were thinking about giving her life if they couldn’t agree on death so the Alexander family wouldn’t have to go through this all over again. I don’t even know if they knew there would be a new trial on the sentencing if they didn’t agree. They may have thought the judge would break the tie. If it is 8 to 4, I hope Martinez can sit down with some of the jurors and find out what convinced some to vote for death and some to vote for life so he can address those issues when he retries the case.

Angela Simpson, a black Phoenix woman in her 30s who drove nails in a man’s head and pulled out his teeth and tortured him for three days before killing him because he was a snitch and bragged about the horrific murder was not sentenced to the death penalty because of her mental problems from horrific child abuse. She is one of the maximum security inmates who will be in the same prison as Jodi Arias. Simpson said in an interview following her sentencing she should have gotten the death penalty because being in prison with her “sisters” in crime is not punishment at all and says she is looking forward to prison life. She is even more scary than Jodi.

    • Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 10:01 am

The man Angela Simpson killed was wheelchair bound. She lured him to an abandoned building for sex and tortured him, drove a nail in his head, pulled out his teeth, strangled him with a cable cord and burned his body and threw him in a dumpster. She said she didn’t regret killing him because he was a snitch but she regretted getting caught so she can’t kill more snitches. Police said he was not a police informant. She was sentenced to life without parole in 2012 for the 2009 torture murder.

        Oh my gosh, that’s horrific!

      • He WAS racist towards her. Made extreme derogatory comments about her race. THAT WAS her LAST STRAW!!! It seems like some women can take just about anything a man might do to them, but a wise man should NEVER,NEVER Say or imply that they aren’t worthy of him. THEN HE BETTER RUN LIKE HELL AND LOSE HIS ADDRESS AND PHONE# We have that woman radar thing going on,ya know., We’ll find ya!!! :)(tee-hee)

  130. so long to old Jodi the ‘ho’
who didn’t know how to let go
    she stabbed Alexander
    when he couldn’t stand her
now off to the lockdown she’ll go!

  131. Must watch;
Jodi Arias – Rose colored glasses:

    • Thanks for that, Carol. I was hoping she’d gone there yesterday, but I’ll wait until July.

Yes thanks Carol.. I was almost hesitant to click on it…but listened to it while I was perusing the posts above! Well some of them..anyways.

I don’t see why she isn’t going to prison yet…she’s convicted of 1st degree murder. She can hang out in the prison until there is a decision as far as I’m concerned!

      • Posted by Laurel on May 24, 2013 at 3:13 pm

Outstanding video! Glad that I know now that she isn’t going to be able to have her way when she is incarcerated!

    • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 11:43 am

Oh wow. Thank you for posting that. The more I learn about the Perryville prison, the more it sends chills down my spine. I agree with what he said, that her lawyers or someone really needs to educate her on where she’s going. Not that she would listen anyway though.

      • I don’t think I’d bother trying to educate her – I’d let it be a surprise! She has a common bond with the other “girls” – especially killers like Angela Simpson.

        • Could you imagine? IF she gets LWOP she will certainly be face to face with Angela Simpson eventually, pending the miriads of things stated in the video above, which I think she will not meet that psychological one, to level down. Either way, I’m ready for her to sit there and gaze at the wall for 23 hours a day. No one to talk to. She can check out 2 books from the library every 2 weeks, so I hope she’s a really fast reader so she can read the same crap over and over. She can even have “The Secret” memorized by the time she die, whether it be of natural causes or that mean ole needle.
I shouldn’t hate a human being this much. I don’t even know this woman. I post on here under “Jazz” on my ipad, so I’ve said this before…

          • Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 12:30 pm

Both Jodi and Angela are maximum security prisoners and are kept isolated from the other prisoners. I doubt if they will come face to face with each other. Both are convicted of violent crimes so they won’t be socializing with each other or other prisoners in Perryville. It is a huge prison full of violent offenders.

    • Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 12:39 pm

It’s really too bad she didn’t see a “Scared Straight” video before she set into motion the premeditated murder. Of course, it might not have made any difference, and she probably thought she’d still get off scott free anyway…

  132. Wendi Adriano (the other killer Juan “the Prosecutor” Martinez put on death row) on Snapped. The Juanderful is super sexy on here, talking softly about this case. I just can’t get enough of him. Just so awesome.

    • Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 1:03 pm

      Wow. That IS eerie.

      • Right? She killed him 3 times over, too, poison, blunt force trauma to the head (23 times she hit him in the head) and then a fatal knife wound to the neck…
I could go on but I’m a bit scared for myself right now. I don’t want to become an obsessive person. I think I’m gonna take a break.

  133. Just saw the movie for TV last night on LMN Lifetime’s movie channel. “The Blue-Eyed Butcher”. Woman tied her husband to the bed for consensual sex, then stabbed him almost 200 times, buried him in the back yard, while her small children were sleeping. Said it was self defense. Eerily , some of the same ” lines” JA used in her elocution. A hair-raiser. She’s up for parole (25yrs to life) in 2014.

    • Yes, Eve, This happened in Texas. (I’m a Texan) She received a “light” sentence because his ex-fiancee came forward on appeal and told the court about the physical abuse she endured when he was high on cocain.

      • Jasmine, die she come on to her attys. and the jury, like in the movie?

        • euw boy,Jasmine..NOT die!! DID,,,DID she come on to her attys. lately 🙂

        • I’m not sure. Probably Hollywoodized. She was in the “fog” though during the cleanup, left a whole lot of blood splatters everywhere. I know that it’s a pretty light sentence for this crime, 190+ stab wounds and the prosecutor wanted 55 years/defense probation. A Texas prosecutor not going for the death penalty? Her mitigating factors must be pretty good.

  134. After seeing “Jodi-Rose colored glasses” you tube post /Former Dept. Sheriff Carl Toersbijns’ contribution on prison-life at Perryville, maybe she did get the right call. 2 min. was a very long time for Travis, but JA’s first 2 years minimum will be isolation. TV /rabbit ears. What stations will she get in the desert. Eat by herself. She’ll go crazy either way with the silence. I do believe that’s why she was sobbing before verdict, she’s only had a few days since her conviction to get a taste of it. She will go mad before she ever adjusts to prison life. I think Judge Sherry will insist on life without parole. She makes the final call, if there’s another hung jury.

Hello to all. Just watched the rose-colored glasses video.
Well, as the saying goes….*Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person/murderer.*

  137. I remember that case,, she was very pretty and had been a dancer/stripper before she met the somewhat older successful guy and married him… She ALSO, appeared too frail and thin to have done all the stabbing and digging in the yard to bury him…..
I am shocked that she is able to ask parole in 2014!!!!!! That is just wrong….

  138. Some women know how to bring out the “abusiveness” in a man… Like , having an affair,,, and taunting them, etc… Remember, Jodi was taunting Mr Martinez,,, and the other night, the reporter??? She should have left him, took the children and gone into hiding and sought help…. In the case of today,, it was Travis that was abused and could not get away from jodi…

    • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 4:28 pm

Yesssssssssssssss Max! She knew how to push his buttons. She loved it when he crap talked to her because it made her believe he cared about her. That was love to her, if he yells at me, if he shows jealousy, if he shows anger…he loves me. And she nurtured that in him.

  139. She being the dancer/stripper… 😳

  140. That video that Carol posted was an eye opener…. I heard the other day that whether she gets LWOP, LWP after some years , or the death penalty,, that she would spent the first 3 years in basic solitaire as she gets acclimated to actual prison life…. So, the video made perfect sense to me….Prison is NOT jail…… Thankfully,, and the guy said he made the video so the public would know, jodi is not getting an easy life no matter what sentence….. 🙂

    • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 4:57 pm

Amen to that Max! Prison is not jail…Stabby’s in for a big wake up call. All she’s accomplishing is stalling the inevitable.

    • Posted by Anti-Arias on May 24, 2013 at 5:55 pm

Yup, Perryville is NO picnic. A woman prisoner just committed suicide within the last month. Truth and Reality are two merciless bitches the demon will have to face at sometime, regardless how much she tries to retreat into Jodi Land in her head.

  141. I think I am in solitaire,, LOL 😆

  142. Posted by GBPL on May 24, 2013 at 4:23 pm

LOL!! I’m posting above, rather replying!

Why wasn’t the alternate jurors allowed to take some of their places? I guess since it would have to be a specific reason for needing a replacement rather than he/she won’t’ agree with me.

I think the judge should of made them deliberate a little longer..but then i’ve not heard all the reasons why.

    • Can’t just get off a jury. Have to be sick, or family emergency. But then there were 4 jurors for life.. I don’t think they would have had enough replacements. Seems they were hung up on the Travis verbally abusing Jodi. They had to treat that as factual evidence. She was Blackmailing him when he went off on that text rant. She admitted that she knew how to push his buttons. She certainly has pushed everyone else’s including her own defense team. That should Factually speak for itself next time around. Nothing victim about her. She’s an agitator and a bully.

  143. Posted by Barb on May 24, 2013 at 4:24 pm

I wonder if the 4 jurors who could not put the Beast down were older men who had bonded with her naked parts that were shown umptybillion times? I am sure they went home every night, ignored the admonition, watched HLN to see the umptybillion replays of those pictures and had some dirty old man moments reliving their youth. Surely, no one with a reasonable mind could not see that she needs to be silenced. I have come to agree with others who think there should be an option for a “life row” which would be lonely confinement away from other humans for the rest of their natural lives. Whoa! That sounds more cruel than death!

  144. Posted by Barb on May 24, 2013 at 4:30 pm

One more rant! The Demon has been in jail 5 years. In her allocution she lists many things she could do in prison to better the lives of others. She said she had not done anything like that to date as she was busy with her “Case”. Surely she could have squeezed a few hours out of her days in jail to implement her noble causes. Just sayin…..

    • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 4:39 pm

She’s a murderous pig Barb, plain and simple…that’s what she is. She got caught, and when she got caught, it was with a gun and knives in her rental car….ummm, murderous spree possibly? She’s a female serial killer who is extremely dumb and got caught on her first go round. IQ of Einstein? Einstein was not evil and murderous.

    • Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 4:45 pm

I thought the same thing, too, Barb. What have you done for me lately? Her past behavior predict future behaviors (since there has been no attempt at significant change.)

    • Posted by Anti-Arias on May 24, 2013 at 5:45 pm

Yeah, she thinks because she is in jail. Perryville is not Sheriff Joe’s jail. It’s hell either on death row or in gen pop. Except she will cause problems in gen pop, and hopefully she would have to stay in an isolation pod even with LWOP. She’ll get hers either way.

  145. That is the biggest joke of all. If they helped her with that Lie/elocution to the gullible jurors, knowing none of that would occur, then they were all perjuring themselves! Seems OK to lie to the Jury, if it makes her story sound better. What did she have to lose. Maybe it would have helped if Travis’ family trumped up some “new Factual statements” for the next jury 😦 just sayin’….

  146. Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 4:56 pm

Here’s my take on the jury foreman. It appears from his interview(s) that he had a preconceived idea of what a murderer looks like (and a small, attractive young woman ain’t it) but couldn’t deny that she did it since she confessed, but he couldn’t wrap his head around her appearance and the violent bloody scene. So…when the domestic violence excuse came along (along with Travis’ words on a text after May 26 where Jodi betrayed him in such a way that he said it was worse than the death of his father – and these were only a handful of texts among the 80,000 that they exchanged) He grabbed it. He even said he’d like to talk to her to ask her what happened. (Ack! This is where this man needs to see the interrogation tapes, post conviction interviews, etc.)

He also said they were moved by the Alexander family, but he was “proud” of his jury from controlling their emotions about the victim’s family when it came time to deliberate. (Hmm. Ignore the victim’s family but have sympathy for the perp. Nice.)

I also think he was one of the four hold-outs for “life,” and because he was the jury foreman and was not going to budge, that’s why the note went to the judge asking what to do if the jury didn’t agree. He didn’t say he was for “life” but he said the abuse sufferend by the perp affected his decision.

He also said in another report that he didn’t think the jury should have been put into making this decision. It should have been made by judges or lawyers or people who had better knowledge. (Wha??)

I made a rant about the judicial system (well, more than one), and one of things I said before is confirmed by this guy: some people are way over their heads when they serve on a jury.

    • Posted by RD on May 24, 2013 at 5:14 pm

Gomer Pyle, Jug-head, & Lil’ Abner, it seems were on the jury.
      Potsy & Ralph-mouth were alternates.

    • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 5:59 pm

Scary Sully…seriously scary. Our system needs an overhaul.

    • Posted by Jeanjeanne on May 24, 2013 at 7:22 pm

In response to 4:56, the jury foreman immediately exposed what went wrong. He is a throwback to the 50’s and that decades view of women and their sexuality. I’m sure when he heard the sex tapes he thought it HAD to be Travis ‘ perversion and couldn’t even fathom the truth; that Jodi initiated these escapades and got off on them, and in fact, used them to control Travis. He has probably only had sex in the missionary position once a month with his wife and never, ever, a BJ. Sorry, I’m pissed! And Ria, love, in both the English and American meaning!

    via The State vs Arias:

“Foreman William Zervakos told The Associated Press that jurors struggled with what they called a flawed system, explaining Arias wasn’t “Jeffrey Dahmer or Charles Manson.” They thought it was unfair that 12 average Americans who aren’t lawyers had to make such a crucial decision.”

Really? How did this guy get on the jury, let alone become the foreman

    • Nancy B – If you note the age of most of the jury members they were in retirement years – it is quite possible that they have lived a sort of “vanilla”: life style where alot of trauma did not touch their lives -If they were fortunate enough to have that they might not ever have experienced evil in its many forms making them totally incapable of making critical decisions based on evil acts.

Jeffrey Dahmer at least apologized to the families of the victims, and urged doctors to study him which most serial killers NEVER do. Charles Manson and Joi are alike, she could be his daughter. She was just too stupid to get caught the first time. she was going to do it again.

  148. Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 5:08 pm

And one more thing (as Columbo would say), I have heard it said many times that cases are won or lost at jury selection. This is how Dr. Phil got his start. Perhaps the State should spend more dough on a jury consultant. (Ack, it gags me to even suggest it, but what’s a prosecutor gotta do?)

One of the talking heads said last night that in addition to just checking off the box (“yes, I could vote for the DP if warranted”), that followup questions should ask about religious beliefs, beliefs about death, etc., to make sure they could really vote that way.
I’m not sure in this case that disavowing the DP is what did it for the four hold-outs. I think the succubus mesmerized them with her girlish charm.

Juror 17 posted on FB that she is devastated by this. She was an alternate and wanted to vote and feels anguish for the Alexander family. (I suspect this is also how the 8 DP voters felt as well.)

There was another tidbit, but I couldn’t find the source, that the foreman/jury were surprised that the “no agreement” meant “mistrial.” Huh? 5 months. Billions of words spoken in that courtroom. No concept of “mistrial” or “hung jury”? (See post above, about the jury being in over its head.)

(Also, please forgive typos in above post and this one…)

    • Posted by Ria on May 25, 2013 at 7:18 am

You’ve got to be kidding me. The foreman did NOT realize they were going be a hung jury? That’s just scary. What did he think was going to happen when they weren’t unanimous?

  149. Hi everyone–I am involved with the court system in my jurisdiction, and in my simple estimation there are two kinds of people who wind up on a jury. There are those who believe in doing their civic duty, and unfortunately those folks are in a minority. The other kind of juror is either too stupid to get off jury duty, or is bored with retirement and could use a little Starbucks money.

    • Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 5:15 pm

I’m also concerned, OSW, that sometimes in a high profile case, there are folks who want to be on a jury…for the wrong reason. Hopefully, it didn’t happen with this group or during the next go round.

    • Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 5:20 pm

And, amended to say, I’m not bashing this jury, I just think this set of people couldn’t get the job done, for whatever reason. I’ve wondered in cases like this, who could afford to be off work for months at a time? I know that the AZ system says they can apply for restitution of pay up to $300 per week (with the proper documentation), AFTER the trial is over. Who could afford to wait that long? And what companies would be willing to pay for an non-productive employee for 5 months? I suspect, OSW, those – along with self-employed, parents with small children, etc. – are excused from jury duty.

      • Posted by Ria on May 24, 2013 at 5:55 pm

Exactly Sully, there’s nothing advantageous when it comes to being on a jury. And I get that…I get that it wouldn’t be a good idea to make it that way because then you’d have people trying to qualify for the wrong reasons.

It just bothers me that we throw people in there, who have no prior experience, no interest in the legal system and no legalese. At least have them take a class of some sort before throwing them into a life or death trial!

      • Posted by Sully on May 24, 2013 at 6:15 pm

Gad. Meant to say $300 per day (not week.)

  150. When I heard this dead head talk , I said out loud,,,, “I am shocked that they even found her guilty of 1st degree felony murder… with extreme cruelty…”… but, think about it,, remember juror #8 that the defense got rid of???? He had NO affection for this killer jodi.???? He may have been the one to get the 1st degree… This clown that today talked was an ABSOLUTE IDIOT..

  151. Thanks CAROL.. I think people need to see this video.. I hope I did it right….

You did it right Max! I watched it earlier and wow, Stabby has NO idea what she’s in for. And she brought this on herself.

I am disappointed with the non-verdict. I can’t imagine how devastated the Alexander family must be. May they have strength to continue until complete justice for Travis is achieved.
When the verdict was read and Homecoming Queen half smiled, I wanted to slap the smirk off her face. I was so surprised at my reaction because I never resort to physical abuse. It might be best that I stop reading anymore about Stabby and her Hefalump team. It’s having a very unpleasant effect on me. Life’s too precious to waste it on scum. Thanks to Eggo, I will most certainly re visit the videos of Eddie Izzard who I adore. THANK YOU, Eggo for reminding me.

  153. Ria,, thank you.. you are so very very special here… I love your special and kind touch to all of us here… :there is no love face smiley ,, so here is a 😛

I accidentally posted this on the old thread. Please forgive me if this has already been posted here – get ready to scream:

“You heard (prosecutor Juan) Martinez say she was only 27. … She’s old enough that she should have known better,” Zervakos said. “I didn’t look at it that way. I’m looking at 27 years of an absolutely normal everyday young woman that was living a life that was perfectly normal. Then something changed the trajectory of her life after meeting Travis Alexander, and it spiraled downhill from there.”

There you have it. I was afraid of this during the trial—that many of the jurist have absolutely no business being on a jury. they have no business even handling routine day to day jury duties let alone the big leagues. The more this jury guy flaps his pie-hole the more it is crystal clear he was probably a major road block. It has often has been noted that the odd-balls manage to get their foot into the door and end up on a jury. Then they become the square peg in a round hole just slightly off kilter revealing themselves at the most inopportune moment, like deliberations, the odd dude in the neighborhood that everyone politely avoids eye contact with who’s opinion always seems to create awkward silence in a group. He was obviously smitten by “The Spawn’s” hypnotic death stare. Maybe she bat her eyes at him or something equally suggestive. Whatever it was he bought into her shtick hook-line-and-sinker. What a shmuck, stop with the interviews, close the pie hole. If I sound angry, damn straight. They stiffed the Alexander family.

  156. He and others were looking at a life where she was a psycho , they looked and walked away… I mean,, who wants to tangle with a psycho????? Poor Travis, he should have gotten help against this stalker…

This jury verdict (non verdict) is soul meltingly devastating. Yesterday and today I was blessed enough to attend both my son and daughter’s college graduation. Yet in all the happiness and celebration, I’m sad. Sad for our judicial system, sad that Demon Spawn like Jodi inhabit our planet, sad that people could be swayed by lies, sad that the Demon continues to hurt Travis’ family and the world at large, but mostly sad that we have been robbed from the love and positive impact that Travis would have had on our world. Sad am I.

Hi Y’all. I spent the day planting flowers outside in the sunshine. They seem to be brighter than last year. Could it be that we cherish the normal things in life a bit more
after following the trial for five months?
Watched the Perryville video a few posts ago.
Here’s my prediction for Stabby. “Woman in Perryville chokes to death on her own hair. First casualty since women fries in box. Stabby died while trying to chew off her own hair in an effort to give it to Locks of Love. After all she was a woman of her word”.

  160. Posted by De-Edifying watcher on May 24, 2013 at 7:35 pm

Just spent the last hour googling prison blogs about Perryville.
Not a place that a seasoned narcissist who must have her loyal band of worshippers will find to her liking. Apparently prima donas do not find Peryville to be open to their charms. Especially if the prima dona is in maximum security level where there will be *no one* to con.
Right now I want/need a sabatical from Stabbyworld. I feel the need for lysol, massingill, scope, irish spring, pantene, etc to wash off the Stabby smell.
But if Her Majesty, Queen Egg and her loyal Lady in Waiting, Carol will be doing a Stabby watch in 8 weeks for round 2, count me in.
    Love to all !!!

I agree that Jury Foreman William Zervakos, 67, was most likely one of thosee four who voted against the death penalty for Jodi Arias because he said she doesn’t look like a Charles Manson or Jeffrey Dahmer. Because Zervakos has lived a sheltered life, he believes like Jodi and Wilmott said she just did one “bad thing” in her life instead of the truth that she was born bad and just pretended to be the good girl.

“You heard (prosecutor Juan) Martinez say she was only 27. … She’s old enough that she should have known better,” Jury Foreman William Zervakos, 67, said. “I didn’t look at it that way. I’m looking at 27 years of an absolutely normal everyday young woman that was living a life that was perfectly normal. Then something changed the trajectory of her life after meeting Travis Alexander, and it spiraled downhill from there.”

Her life was on the downward spiral from her teenage years. How could he call her normal after she sat on the stand for 18 days and told about every sex act she performed since she was 14. Is that normal? To me she is nothing but white trash. Does he really think it is perfectly normal for a girl to have sex at 14, drop out of school, move in with her boyfriend at 16 when she is grounded and go from boyfriend to boyfriend and one dead end job after another? Is it perfectly normal for her to stalk her boyfriends and confront their new girlfriends? Travis Alexander was the most successful of her boyfriends. She killed him because she wanted a husband who owned a house, was a successful businessman and drove a BMW and he didn’t want an evil sociopath who stalked and smothered him.

Zervakos is right that the legal system is flawed. Average citizens have no business deciding whether a criminal lives or dies because they are naïve about criminal behavior. Judges should make that decision because they are experienced with criminals and aren’t easily manipulated. The average juror lives a normal life and thinks all people do. Zervakos wanted to believe Jodi was just a normal girl gone wrong and it was a one time incident and now she is normal again. The jurors also didn’t get the full picture of who Jodi Arias really was because the law wouldn’t allow the prosecutor to tell them about her hitting her brother with a baseball bat, growing pot in the eight grade, kicking the family dog and always breaking the rules. She didn’t just one day snap and turn violent. She was always violent. That’s why no one from her family would testify to try to save her life. The Arias family are happy she is behind bars. They don’t want her wreaking havock on their lives anymore.

At least eight jurors saw that Jodi Arias is not normal and needs to pay for her violent crime with her life. Hopefully we will get 12 jurors next time who can see through her little girl act and see she is a dangerous psychopath.

    • Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 8:43 pm

Jodi clearly used sex to manipulate men to get what she wants. It was obvious to me from her testimony she was obsessed with sex and Travis Alexander. A normal woman in her late 20 and early 30s has an education, a career and/or a husband and children. She was a high school drop out and bed hopper, which is anything but normal.

    • Posted by Kristen Shumway on May 24, 2013 at 9:01 pm

At the risk of over simplifying, I think this idiot foreman is a horny old man who enjoyed the fantasies he indulged in while listening to Stabby’s endless tales of kinky sex. I doubt that he even bothered to listen to anything else. There is no other explanation for his obvious feelings towards this psychopathic murderous whore.

    • Posted by Jeanjeanne on May 24, 2013 at 9:38 pm

Agree, agree, agree. See my post 7:22

    • The more blather I hear from that dumb KumQuat jury foreman, the more I agree with most comments that say he was one of the unbelievers of the criminal nature of Stabby – and being of the nature that he took charge and became jury foreman he led 3 other sheep to his path.
I am quite sure the jurors did their best to distinguish truth from lies but those that got sucked into the vortex presented by the defense council and Stabby herself, were just following the fairytales they were told.
Good grief! It’s not 1959 – perhaps some of these individuals don’t have computers or listen to the news around the world –
They didn’t know what would happen if they could not agree? Google it!
      Ask the judge! Dumb!
They didn’t think they had a responsibility to the victims in this case????
They didn’t think they had a responsibility to the taxpayers of the state?

Not every murderer is a Dahmer or Manson – some are charming like Angela Simpson who speaks well and admits justice was not done in her case either that she should have gotten the death penalty and that she will murder again if given the chance and her only regret is that she couldn’t have spent a week longer torturing and mutilating her victim a fellow in a wheelchair instead of just 3 days. And then she laughed at the interviewer! Why did she kill him?…..Well she thought him white trash and a snitch –

If jurors like the foreman are so busy their entire lives with watching sports, doing their jobs, mowing the lawn and raising their families they may well not ever be exposed to the criminal element that courts deal with daily – giving them this kind of responsibility of life or death choices seems to be asking beyond their scope of ability.

Stabby was a bad girl all her life – her family says so – she acted out since her teen years – this was not a one time thing – what did he not understand about stalking, slashing tires, sneaking into the house via dog doors, hiding under a christmas tree and all the other invasive things she did? This “Dopey KumQuat” should just STFU!

Makes me cranky again……such stupidity! I wouldn’t trust him to take out the garbage……grumble, grumble……..gggrrrrr…….!

  164. Posted by NancyB on May 24, 2013 at 10:17 pm

One thing I’m really fed-up with is the multitude of defense attorney/talking heads who are continually telling us about the “mob mentality” associated with this case. The inaccurate examples of “proof” that they use continue to be ALV & PP. The reaction of the public is *not* mob mentality and I’m sick of that fallacy being promoted through the media by JA’s defense team.

I happened to see Richard Gabriel (who I can’t stand) on CNN this morning. He served as the jury consultant for Casey Anthony’s defense team. Gabriel told the interviewer that he was “confident that the defense in this case were looking for jurors who were strong and independent and able to resist the public pressure.” Hogwash. He’s such a insincere liar! They were looking for jurors who lacked the ability to tell the difference between good and crap science which includes the testimony of psychological experts. They wanted people who could not engage in probabilistic reasoning, and who lacked the intellectual strength to resist the defense’s obfuscatory tactics.

Prosecutors work with both hands tied behind their backs, precluded from telling jurors the real facts in a case. Laws have been mangled into games to aid the guilty and the hijinks continue. Defense lawyers hide behind the rule that exempts them from moral responsibility and can say anything they want. Why is it that defense attorneys are not compelled to stick to facts, not whole cloth inventions to escape reality?

It is one thing to defend the accused. Another, to aid and abet, when those same lawyers are in a position to know beyond a reasonable doubt which client is really a danger to society and should be separated from society. Defense lawyers should never be allowed to fabricate or invent absurd scenarios, as they often do, or allow their clients to do so. Society has an obligation to protect the innocent.

To be a juror is a highly complicated skill, yet the system does not require people to have any legal education (or skill of any kind for that matter) in order to qualify. A complete idiot could determine the fate of an individual and that is perfectly fine as things now stand with the system. Also, I think that attorneys favor people ignorant of law as prospective jurors so as to more easily manipulate outcomes. The jurors’ absence of experience in thinking abstractly, understanding probability or reasoning from evidence rather than emotion, make them susceptible to specious arguments such as “Are you going to KILL this girl ?” And then repeatedly asking this over and over again.

During voir dire defense atty’s seek to exclude people with college degrees, situational awareness, and especially military personnel for a purpose. Maricopa County arguably has one of the largest concentrations of retired professionals (doctors, lawyers, accountants, military officers) in the country and now that this trial is over it will be interesting to see how many of them made the jury. Often if you read the voir dire questions that are used and the peremptory dismissals you will see how the jury was stacked. I had hoped to do that at the end of this trial but I’m doubtful that much of anything will be released as so much has been sealed. Most secret trial I’ve ever watched.

Having served years ago as a juror on a murder trial that also involved a rape and drugs, I can attest to the incredible stupidity displayed by my fellow “jurors”. Think: herding cats. The mind boggles just remembering. I look at it this way… PAY every juror a day rate equivalent to the judges pay. That would keep the smarter ones in the running. Stop tossing peanuts out for “your duty”. If it was all about duty then all the lawyers and judges should get jury pay and only jury pay for their time. Fair wouldn’t you say? You can be certain they’d squeal like pigs.

To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead.

Wonderful post, Nancy B. You are absolutely right. Defense attorneys especially do not want educated independent intelligent thinkers or leaders on the jury.

They want sheep who will follow down the path the defense leads them and away from the truth and a guilty verdict. The prosecutor had the stolen gun, the autopsy pictures Travis Alexander’s blood splattered in the sink, smeared on the walls and soaked in the rug ands all the defense had was the sex tape and text messages in which Travis called Jodi names.

Listening to the foreman, I am surprised they found her guilty of first degree murder and that the cruelty factor was proven. He sounds like he wants to have Jodi over for dinner and chat with her about what really happened. This man lives in the same fantasyland as Jodi Arias.

      HERE!!! HERE!!!!!

Great post! …you should copy/paste it and put it on the next thread so everyone can read !

  165. Couldn’t agree more Nancy! To me jurors should be paid at least $100./day and should have to be tested to qualify for jury duty. Much like any job application where a company requires a psychological profile of the applicant.
It’s obvious as society becomes more complicated and diverse with technology relying on people who are unqualified for the job is expensive in terms of dollars and a waste of time and resources for all involved.
The prosecution should be allowed to bring all the evidence into court for the jury to see and the defense should not be allowed to lie on behalf of their client.

It has always bothered me that the defense can tell any fabrication they wish – without any proof at all and not be held to account for letting murderers walk free –

This has been the most cut and dry case ever – the murderer confessed to a brutal and heinous – literally triple killing of the victim – the photographic and hand print evidence confirms Who did it – No one is required to figure out Why – that’s not a juries job – Jody Arias murdered Travis Alexander in cold blood and in three vicious ways – the penalty for that is death – simple! The reason will remain in the mind of the killer and she claims to be in a “fog”. The End!

  166. Posted by Observer on May 24, 2013 at 11:31 pm

Knowing Jodi she will tweet the foreman to come to her jail cell ASAP so she can thank him properly for understanding she was a victim of abuse and hanging the jury.

  167. New Thread fellow egglets! And it’s super too!

    Hello fellow eggos
It has all been said about the trial and it makes me just sick I feel so much rage and I am a very peaceful person. After seeing “Rose colored glasses” I felt somewhat better knowing the demon will NOT be having a party in prison. She will not survive she is a bottom-feeder and she will not be able to latch onto any naive men anymore her own sick mind will be her own undoing she should be terrified and not talking about “programs” in prison. Watch and see how many visits she gets from her family I think they will be very few alot less than any that are even allowed.

To Jasmine Bayless: I feel the same way about Juan !!!When I watched the trial with my husband who is in law enforcement he commented how great Juan is in court and has never been in the company of an attorney in all his years that was THAT good but I secrectly wished he was an attorney o
in our state (PA) because I would surely be going to alot of trials. People can say what they want but INTELLIGENCE INTEGRITY and OVERALL PRESENCE is way more sexy than a man’s height etc Juan just oozes sex appeal without even knowing it and that my friend is the BEST part!!! I will watch him over and over on my TIVO.

Anyway the tril verdict disgusts me like Casey Anthony but at least the demon has 1st degree pre-meditation and maybe somehow she can still get the DP if a jury who truly listens and canot be swayed by evil does the right thing!

  169. The best one yet Eggy. Can someone send this to Mr. Jury Foreman?

  170. an Eddie Izzard fan, i see .. you’re the Funniest, egg-y .. 🙂

  171. When you are chosen to become a Juror you are asked if you are able to carry out a sentence of Death if you check that box YES than you best be ready to do you JOB! some people do not like their job, but they do it because they HAVE TO and this is no different. You can’t bring in your personal feelings into it, because if you do than you are doing an injustice to the Victim, the Victims family and the state that has just spent an exorbitant amount of money trying the case. Maybe our Judicial System needs to change this and once the Verdict is reached than it should be left up to a Panel of Judges to render the the Life or Death Verdict and not the Jurors since so many seem to not be able to carry out the final penalty that needs to be rendered.
